So much happens during this year in school, as we prepare for junior high. We will stay very busy, working together, setting and reaching goals, and learning more about being good leaders. I hope to make math enjoyable and challenging for my students this year. Sixth grade is awesome!
I graduated from The University of Utah in 1996. I have worked at our school in various roles for the past 15 years. I have been a volunteer, a reading tutor, and a substitute teacher. I received my Associate Educator License in Elementary Education and began teaching in 2017. I taught third grade for three years, and this is my first year teaching sixth.
I enjoy school, and I love to learn! I like English and math, especially. I love finding and correcting spelling and grammar mistakes wherever I go, and I get really excited about algebra. I love teaching children to read, and I try really hard to pass on my enthusiasm for math to my students, friends, and family.
I like playing the piano, organizing things, and playing board and card games. My favorite food is warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies with a tall glass of cold milk!
