First Grade Class Wearing Pajamas for Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week, an annual campaign aimed at promoting drug-free lifestyles and raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, kicked off this week with a series of engaging activities. This year's theme encourages students to take a stand against bullying and drugs through creative dress-up days and activities.

The week began on Monday with "Let's Put Bullying to Bed," allowing students to wear pajamas to symbolize putting bullying to rest. Tuesday followed with "Wear Crazy Socks - Kick Drugs to the Curb," encouraging students to wear mismatched or colorful socks. Wednesday's theme, "Have Crazy Hair or Wear a Hat - Use Your Head: Stay Drug-Free," invited students to showcase their wildest hairstyles or favorite hats as a reminder to make smart choices.

As the week progresses, students will don spirit shirts or the color red on Thursday to embody the theme "Wolverine Strong." The festivities will conclude on Friday with Halloween parties and the theme "Say 'Boo' to Bullying," reinforcing the message of kindness and respect in a fun and festive way. Red Ribbon Week serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of making healthy choices and fostering a supportive community.
